His & Hearse Racing

The team is involved in a few different kinds of racing. The adults do demolition derby, democross, trailer race, and figure 8. The children, all under age 7, are starting with junior dirt karts and ATV’s.

Besides being a family bonding activity, it’s also a practical investment in the kids’ futures. Not only will they grow up with confidence and driving skills, they’ll also be taught mechanics and maintenance.

Congratulations to Dan Pachella

2021 Ironman Champion at Perris Auto Speedway’s Night of Destruction!

Head On Collision

Louise and Dan had two perfectly good cars leftover and needed to get rid of them. So they did a head on collision!

42 On Fire

The first time Louise’s family came to watch her derby, she managed to have a massive fire. Fortunately, she escaped unscathed and was able to derby a motorhome immediately after being checked out in the ambulance.

Motorhome Stunts

Dangerous Dan performed two motorhome stunts at Perris Auto Speedway. For the first one, he drove a car through a motorhome, end to end. For the second, he drove one motorhome through the side of two motorhomes. What a mess!

Start young

The Pachella girls, Ashley, Rachel, and Dani, have racing in their blood. They love all things with wheels and crashing. At age 5, they get their first real race car and compete against other kids in Junior Dirt Karts. Ashley and Rachel are currently racing, and Dani is counting down the days until she can.

Roll over!

The first roll over contest at Perris Auto Speedway, 10/21/2010. Dan and a few other brave drivers gave it a shot, competing for the most rolls. Watch the compilation here!

Motorhome Mayhem

Dan and Louise were some of the original drivers when motorhome derbies began at the OC Fair in California. It was quite a privilege to be included. Due to the unpredictability of how the vehicles would disintegrate, drivers were only considered if they had a proven track record (pun intended) for safety. Crashing motorhomes is entirely unlike regular demolition derby. The hits are cushier, but dust and debris fly everywhere. The track looks like a tornado hit a trailer park by the end.

Monster Jam

Another great privilege was being asked to participate in Monster Jam for several years. In between the monster truck performances at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, Dan and Louise drove in the intermission events of democross and trailer race. They had to keep control during their chaotic races to avoid hitting the expensive monster trucks parked around the edges of the arena. Nothing compares to the feeling of driving a car into a sports stadium, thousands of cameras flashing and the roar of a massive crowd.
